Sam was asking me last day that where do I get the energy to deal with clients everyday, send them updates – crack new deals etc etc. Now I was not sure the explanation which I gave was satisfactory coz it was very to the point response but what can keep a person willing to do Project Management for years ?

1. Interacting with different people, different culture is always good. It helps you learn a lot more then what you can in your closed hemisphere

2. You know you have to sustain a lot of users who rely on you. Running a big company with so many dedicated professional is not so easy, they always look up to you for work so the company grows faster and better which makes sure there Jobs are safe, paid better as it goes

3. Company relies on you for profit, Profit means expansion – more planning – much better infrastructure etc. Now every thing can be improved. I wish perfect was somewhere else other then dictionary too

4. Its always better to deliver more then you are expected to do, It helps build trust

How to make a Million Dollar Site ?

I get this question almost everyday as to how ESolz can help there clients make a million dollar website, still feel a bit confused as to what can be a turnkey solution which can yield a site which fetches more money then what would bank would allow you to keep

Most of the clients forget that its not just the website which matters, but the marketing, the flexibility it offers to its clients. Idea is very important but if its not marketed well it falls flat even though it could be the biggest innovation after the apple falling. We always provide inputs to the client to make the site better but again we have limitations.

ESolz is trying to pave way in which it will help its consumers tie up after the work is done, in which we will try generate sales / leads for the consumers. This will mean the consumers get a more wider market and can have a good starting point to beat the competition.

Facebook, the ultimate destination ?

Almost everyone in office is using FaceBook, come on I know its good but everyone ? I was checking and almost all of them are there – you know about something crazy only a few added me or accepted my request Being the VP is tough sometimes.

Even though I loved the Fan thing, which is Like know I am still a fan of FaceBook coz it helps me organize my thoughts a lot better, blog is another way of doing that. Some questions I still wonder is why people play FarmVille ….. I am not even sure what is there and never go around hunting for coins, cows, and all sorts of things. But ya my wife does a lot and every day she rises one level and makes a big story about it – dunno why. The same thing is with many at ESolz too.

I primarily share my thoughts and make friends there (except on the official company page)

Plant a tree for ones you love

Plant a tree!

Why so, I was just thinking about it why Plant a tree ? How will it help me
My kid was sleeping and he got up to give me the smile which is worth millions to me, when he grows up I expect him to be a great man and do wonders in his life. The next thought which came to my mind is will his smile be permanent ? A father always want that there kids are the best, they get the best in life, never have to cry for a second even. Is this possible ?

Impossible – I am Possible, some great words to share with others but what if we ourself want to make something impossible. Will our family able to live with a smile, the answer is no coz we are paving the bad path for them. Next thing I realized was its  world environment day today so why not start with something positive this morning rather then the normal work schedule. Planted a tree to make sure my kid smiles when he sees it.

He is just 2 years (almost) but was very happy to see the green plant and was trying to figure out what was I up to ? I am not too sure he understood what I am doing but I am sure doing something good for him. I am doing my bit and hope others too.

And please don’t make it a 1 day session coz that wont help our future but it has to become a habit.

High level discussion again :)

Had a long and much awaited company meeting today where we all were to share the ideas of how to improve as nothing is perfect in the world. All of us were just spectators as the CEO spoke up and man what a person he is, its not that he does not let others speak but he puts across things in such a fashion that others are just speachless

We ultimately decided to give his thoughts a go and see what we can achieve with the same

Some points discussed were

1. 24 X 7 customer care, not development but atleast we should be reachable all the time (exceptions can be weekend but that is something we are going to plan as we go ahead)

2. Taking up ways to interact better with a much better telephone network installed in the office where even the coders can speak to the clients and have a system where our clients can reach them instanly

3. Planning for the new office all geared up with the innovation of having 12 hrs power backup which will help us to be available all the time, its difficult in India sometimes with all the power hickups everyday

4. Starting a Section for R&D, rather then having it project wise, we feel can help our development a lot. This R&D will be responsible for all new innovations in technology, for any help required by coders / designers as they move forward etc

5. To have a training section every month for motivating the staff, keeping them on there toes and helping them groom themselves, this again will be optional but we will encourage all to join in and share experiences

Finally he is growing old and that’s something good else every second girl is his FAN, sad to see that Facebook did the FAN concept and introduced like there but again its not far from being a fan of him

He is a true sweetheart and we wish the bonding between all of us continue the same way as it is and it just gets smoother and stronger. So its your birthday .. hmmmm .. so what to gift to a wonderful part of ESolz ? Please do suggest

Innovation with a difference

I almost get this question everyday that what is that you offer what others don’t

Well a very simple question but often simplicity is difficult to reach. I was thinking what would be my perfect answer to this question which is common to every company in web world. Lets analyze some small things:

1. Cost – hmmm I do not think we can at any point beat the pricing of firms which do not have any existence, but call themselves web development company as they do not have any standards, do not respect copyright, use cheap scripts, have people who does not even understand english and what not .. so here I would give myself a 3/10

2. Quality – Sure we do a high quality job but many others too, so what is different? Makes me think about it but surely I can rate ESolz at 9/10 on this point

3. Team – Another good point as we have a solid team which is dedicated. By dedicated I do not expect them to work 24 X 7, but we work smart and not hard. Might be you hook up with me the next night you go to pub as I party to its limit, I watch TV, spend time with my family and all. But again at work I am very serious and commited. So here again I would give ESolz a 9/10

4. Commitment – Yups we try our best to keep up to commitments but there can be reasons why one can slip from it, which clients even understands so giving myself another 9/10, wow I am on a roll

5. Innovation – Yes this is something which is a solid point, we advise clients what’s in and what’s not. Give them options to choose within the scope of how the navigation can be better, how the flow can be done in a much fruitful manner. I would rate ourself at 10/10 here

6. I thought a lot as what ESolz has what others do not and I came to a very simple answer ie me, Vik is something what none of other companies has. Not boosting anything about myself, trust me I am the most humble person on earth (exceptions excluded), but ya this is something for sure

Will keep the thought process on and keep posting what I can come up with more.

New face still in planning

Wow, what a difficult day today. Gathered a lot of feedbacks and testimonials from the client to host them on the new website. I never realized putting our main site would need so much patience, had to choose from the great work as to what can go on the site for display
